This Month’s line-up:

Ken Reid, Tony V., Srilatha Rajamani, Carl Yard and more.

Ken Reid: is a Boston based stand up comedian. Ken has been a staple on the Boston comedy scene since 2003, having been nominated as “Best Comedian in Boston” twice by the defunct Boston Phoenix, been the regular Friday Night Host at the Comedy Studio for five years, and been the creator and host of the weird and legendary “Secret Menu” show. He’s also performed all over the country and is a regular at festivals like the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, The Riot LA Comedy Festival and the Women in Comedy Festival. He frequently shares the stage with national acts and he has appeared on podcasts like Doug Loves Movies, Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction and Risk! He also has a podcast of his own called TV Guidance Counselor, but that’s another story.

Srilatha Rajamani: is a tech nerd, born and raised in India is a Cambridge, MA based stand up comedian and story teller and has been performing for three years. Srilatha shines a spotlight on cultural absurdities from the unique perspective of an Indian born woman living in today’s America. She performs all over New England, featuring and opening for several national headliners like W Kamau Bell, Myk Kaplan, Ahmed Bharoocha, and she recently had the honour of opening for Judah Friendlander in Boston.  When she is not doing comedy, she likes anime and Korean pop and writes mildly erotic fan fiction about them. Her family in India is not aware of these shenanigans.

Carl Yard: was born on the Caribbean island Barbados. After immigrating to the United States of America in the late 1980’s Carl dove head first into the Boston comedy scene. From a kid in Barbados Carl always knew he wanted to be an entertainer . He had no idea in what capacity He would enter the entertainment arena but he knew he was most comfortable in front of a crowd. After arriving in America Carl started going through the phone book looking for talent agents and clubs to perform at. The first listings he saw were The Comedy Connection and Stitches Comedy Club. So he picked up the phone and made some calls and was given info on how to get on the open mike shows. Carl’s  first open mike was at Stitches Comedy Club. ” That night I did really well. I was so full of energy and so nervous. It came across as funny. I guess “The next week was disastrous, I was cocky didn’t get one laugh” Since then Carl has become one of the country’s top headlining acts. With his high energy style of comedy. Every comedy crowd is sure to be throughly entertained and he is loved where ever he performs. Carl Yard was featured on HBO and has been the opening acts for Aretha Franklin and toured with Buster Point D. Carl can also be seen in the movie ‘The Karate Kid 2’. Carl has also toured with Chris Rock, Patrice O’Neil, Andrew Dice Clay and many other top acts. Carl describes his act as ” Comedy with a lot of Spice” So mark your calendars when the Comic from Barbados is in town. You won’t be disappointed.

Also, special pre show comic book signing with Michael and Michelle Mitchell from Mitchell Comics creators of Zombie Sub 920. Husband and Wife comic book creators Michael and Michelle Mitchell will be on-board to promote their, (often funny) comic book series ZOMBIE SUB-920. Their “old school” designed, hand drawn comics tell the story of a world where the zombies are the GOOD GUYS for a change…fighting off an alien invasion from the last submarine on Earth! Be sure to come a little early to see the Mitchells selling and signing all their comics in the lobby before the show!
